That’s Latin for “To know is not enough”. What it means it that you must also do. These ten steps are the information you need to know. Hypnosis is the vehicle that will get you to do them consistently.
The following 10 steps comprise the foundation of the suggestions I embed in my weight loss hypnosis sessions.
While your conscious mind may initially resist these suggestions, your subconscious will accept them without judgment. So the most effective way to learn these steps is through repetition while in a hypnotic state.
A sample hypnosis script is provided for you at the end of this book. Feel free to modify it with the following 10 steps, focusing on the issues that are most relevant to you.
Step Number One : Stress Less
Stop stressing out, stop worrying – stress and worry do not do you any good whatsoever. We’re not in control of most things in our lives. However, we are in control of ourselves. And we are responsible for ourselves. The first thing you can do to help yourself lose weight is to decrease the level of stress in your life. Stress and weight gain are inextricably linked to one another.
Step Number Two : Drink Lots Of Pure Clean Water
Just drink water! Whenever you are thirsty drink water. Avoid drinking anything else for the greatest effect because water is a body cleanser, a purifier, and a natural body detoxifier.
Step Number Three : Eat More Frequently
Many people skip meals when attempting to lose weight. They mistakenly think that if they can just go without food for most of the day then they will naturally begin to slim down. As you now know, your body doesn’t work that way. When you are hungry and you don’t eat your metabolism slows down, you go into starvation mode, and it becomes harder to reach your weight loss goals.
Step Number Four : Eat Without Guilt
You won’t go hungry unless you want to. You won’t starve. So you don’t have to worry about that. You can eat when you’re hungry, okay? It’s all right. Don’t ever feel guilty about eating. And don’t have hang-ups about eating any particular types of food.
Step Number Five : Be Grateful & Enjoy Your Food
Be appreciative, be grateful, give thanks for what you eat and enjoy what you’re eating. You might notice that a religious person will sit down and pray before a meal. What’s happening with that ‘grace’ is they’re becoming more attuned, more present in that moment, and more thankful for the food that they’re going to eat.
Step Number Six : Slow Down Your Rate Of Eating
This is the most important of all the steps because if you just do this one thing, I promise that you will lose weight. Whenever the food is in your mouth, it does not necessarily need to be on a fork in your hand.
Step Number Seven : 20 Minutes Of Patience
Because people used to eat more slowly, our body/mind connection between having a full stomach and realizing it with our thoughts takes about 20 minutes. It takes 1/3 of an hour to mentally realize that feeling of being “full” has traveled from your stomach to your brain.
Step Number Eight : Leave A Little Food On Your Plate At Every Meal
You don’t ever need to eat all the food on your plate.
Step Number Nine : Exercise
I’m not talking about doing anything difficult like competing in an iron man triathlon. I’m not even talking about going to the gym every day. But hey, if you like going to the gym, fantastic, more power to you. It’s always beneficial to aerobically exercise your body and build your muscle mass.
Step Number Ten : Use Self Hypnosis Daily
The easiest way to put the preceding steps into action is to re enforce them through the use of hypnosis on a daily basis. Remember, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. You do it to yourself.
